A network that sold foreigners' appointments with bots is busted

The National Police have dealt a blow to the illegal sale of immigration appointments. They dismantled a criminal group that used automated programs—the so-called "bots"—to snap up appointments and then sell them to migrants desperate to regularize their status.

Officers took action after detecting a suspicious pattern: thousands of appointments were being booked within seconds. The 'bots' mimicked human requests and flooded the immigration offices’ schedules. They then resold them at exorbitant prices. The operation resulted in several arrests and the seizure of computer equipment.

So, if you’re looking for an appointment for your paperwork, be careful. Buying an appointment from intermediaries isn’t just expensive—you could also lose your money and end up without a real appointment. The police warn that these practices are illegal and that those offering them may be investigated. Hurry, but be smart about it.

The investigation remains open. Further arrests cannot be ruled out. Meanwhile, the Ministry of the Interior reminds the public that appointments are free and can only be obtained through official channels. Be wary of offers on social media or websites that promise appointments in exchange for money. You have been warned.

For those who need an appointment, the situation remains complicated. Demand far exceeds supply. But buying illegal appointments is not the solution. You risk your money and your personal data. The legal route, though slow, is the only safe one. You know that.
