Asturias Launches 'Noah,' the Virtual Assistant for Scheduling Doctor's Appointments

If you live in Asturias, you can now schedule your primary care appointments with “Noah,” a virtual assistant that talks and understands you. It’s from SESPA, and it’s here to put an end to those endless waits on the phone.

With 'Noah,' you can do it all: make an appointment, reschedule it, or cancel it. It works for in-person or phone consultations. And it works for any service at your health center: general medicine, nursing, pediatrics, dental care, social work, midwifery… even the administrative office. Forget about robotic switchboards. The AI understands what you say and responds politely.

To use it, all you’ll need is your health card—the one you have at home. Have your CIP or ID number handy—the system will ask for it when you call, so don’t get caught off guard.

The number is 984 278 000. Dial it and let “Noah” guide you. You don’t need the internet or to download anything—just your regular phone. That said, if you run into problems, SESPA says there are support channels available, but they don’t specify which ones. So, if you have any issues, you’ll have to call them yourself.

This assistant is funded by the European Union (Next Generation) and the Ministry of Health. It’s another—and welcome—step toward digital healthcare. But be careful: technology is great, but if something goes wrong, you’ve been warned.
