The appointment is not mandatory —pay attention, it's not— but it will make your life easier if you have to go to any of the busier provinces: Burgos, León, Salamanca and Valladolid. You can request it from the website 'citaprevia.somacyl.es' or by calling 983 450 544. The hours, however, are from 8:30 to 13:30, only in the morning. So don't oversleep.
The Junta, by the way, recommends doing it online, through the Electronic Headquarters. This way you avoid queues and walking around. These aids are for adults who meet the conditions published in the Official Gazette of Castilla y León last October 21.
If you finally decide to go in person, don't forget to bring all the documentation. These aids are intended for people with limited resources, so review the requirements well before requesting an appointment. The call is open for two months, but don't wait until the last day, because then what happens happens.
