This Thursday, December 18, you can get vaccinated against the flu and COVID-19 without an appointment in Extremadura. The SES —the Extremadura Health Service— has extended the campaign by one week, and it will be open from four to eight in the afternoon. It is intended for all residents, including foreigners registered in the community. So if it's your turn, get moving.
To get vaccinated, you just need to go to one of the designated centers with your ID and health card. However, if you are a foreigner and do not yet have the card —it happens often— you can request it at your health center. But for this occasion, your passport and proof of registration will suffice for them to attend to you. The SES makes a special appeal to children, so if you have young children, bring them too. Don't forget.
Vaccination points are distributed across the eight health areas of Extremadura. Here are some of the centers where you can go:
- Valdepasillas (Badajoz)
- La Data (Plasencia)
- Navalmoral de la Mata
- Don Benito Este
- Villanueva Sur
- Urbano III (Mérida)
- San José (Almendralejo)
- Zona Centro (Cáceres)
- Olivenza
- Llerena
- Zafra
- Hospital de Coria
You don't need to request an appointment or get up early to get a slot. It's an opportunity to catch up on your vaccines without paperwork. Remember that protection against flu and COVID-19 is especially important in winter. If you've been in Spain for a short time and don't have a health card, don't worry: go with your documents and they will inform you. You already know.
