If you live in Gipuzkoa and haven’t filed your taxes yet, you’re in luck: the Provincial Council has opened up appointments for the 2025 tax season. Here’s how it works: you book a slot for the automated tax filing service—the assistance provided by the Tax Office for those who prefer in-person help. So act fast if you want an appointment.

That’s right, appointments can only be made online, on the Gipuzkoa Tax Agency website. No phone calls or in-person visits. The system asks for your information, and you choose a date and time. Slots fill up fast, especially during the middle weeks, so hurry up.

Who is this for? For those who aren’t comfortable with Renta Web or have questions about the draft return. Also if you have income outside Spain, investments, or unusual sources of income. The assisted filing service is exactly that: a provincial government agent enters the data for you, you review it, and sign. Note that the obligation to file an income tax return applies to all residents in Spain—including foreigners with a NIE.
