Hacienda —the Tax Agency, that is— has already opened the period to request a phone appointment for the 2025-2026 Income Tax Return. If you live in Spain and are a foreigner, this service is perfect for you: they call you, help you file your tax return, and you don't have to leave home. The period to request an appointment started on April 29 and ends on June 29, so get moving.

But be careful: you can't just call and get through right away. First you have to book a slot. The phone numbers are: 915 357 326 and 901 121 224 for automated service, and 915 530 071 to speak to a person. When you call, they will ask for your NIF or NIE, and likely the reference number from last year's tax return or some specific box to prove who you are.

The most sought-after time slots fly by, so don't let your guard down. Once you have the appointment, prepare everything: withholding certificates, your IBAN, up-to-date tax data, and proof of deductions. If you later can't make it, cancel or reschedule the appointment in advance using the same phone numbers or through the Hacienda app.
