Foreign Affairs appointments in Barcelona are unified from November 16.

Starting November 16, booking an appointment at the Barcelona immigration office changes. The Barcelona Bar Association has provided the details: the appointments you see on the electronic site will all have the same name, without separating by procedure.

And what does that mean? Well, you can forget about separate categories. If you already had an appointment with an old name, don't worry, it's still valid. But new ones will all be the same, at least in name, which is what changes.

However: you can only request an appointment if the procedure requires you to go in person. The list of in-person procedures is as follows:

For reunification or minors, a single appointment per family with the details of the reunifier or parent.

When you request an appointment, you must provide your name, surname and NIE or passport. And no duplicates: if you book more than one appointment for the same person and procedure, they will be cancelled. They will also ask for a working phone number and email. On the day of the appointment, if the data does not match, you will not be able to submit the application.

There are two offices: Passeig Sant Joan 189 and Calle Murcia 42. Choose the one that works best for you, but if one has no appointments, try the other. For procedures that do not require you to go, such as renewals, you can do it online with a digital certificate or at the record support offices without an appointment.

If you have an ongoing file and need to submit documentation, you can do so remotely or at the registry offices. And if something happens that requires your presence, call the office by phone (from 9 am to 2 pm) or write to infoext.barcelona@seap.minhap.es.
