The Majadahonda City Council already has its appointment system in place. Since November 16, you can reserve a day and time for your procedures: registration, building permits, activities... In short, whatever you need. The idea is that you don't waste the morning standing in line.
To request it, you just need to go to the City Council website —majadahonda.org/cita-previa—, choose the procedure and the date that suits you. After filling in your details, you receive a validation code by email. You present that code on the day of the appointment —and it also works to cancel or change if something comes up.
The mayor, José Luis Álvarez Ustarroz, says that this modernizes the relationship with residents and improves service. For foreigners living in Majadahonda, this appointment system is very useful if you need to register or renew documents. Before, people got up early to stand in line; now you plan without stress.
However, the City Council reminds that many procedures can be done online through the Electronic Office. If you have an electronic ID or digital certificate, you can do almost everything without leaving home. The appointment system is only for those who want or need to go in person.
