Request an appointment to validate experience in private centers for the 2026 competitive exams.

If you have worked in a private or municipal school and you are applying for the 2026 competitive exams, you need to get that experience certified so it counts. Well, the Regional Ministry of Education of Murcia has already opened the period: from May 25 to 29, 2026. So appointments are requested online and are available as of now. Get moving, because it's not forever.

How and where to request an appointment

To request it, go to citaedu.carm.es. There you enter your data and select the procedure: 'Extraordinary certification of teaching experience for the 2026 Competitive Exam (Teaching Corps) and configuration of substitute lists.' Service hours are 9:00 to 14:00 every day, and on Monday 25 also in the afternoon from 17:00 to 18:30. The appointment is in person, at the Conference Hall of the Ministry, on Avenida de La Fama, 15, Murcia.

You don't have to go yourself. If you can't get away from work, you can send someone with the papers. But before going, make sure you have everything in order.

The documents that cannot be missing

The Education Inspectorate will carefully check that the dates on your certificate match the contract and your employment history. In addition, you must indicate the subjects taught — not specializations — unless you are in Vocational Training: in that case, you must detail the cycle and modules. Bring the employment contract or, if you were self-employed, a certificate from the school to prove it, along with the paper employment history report. The certificate of services must be original, with the director's signature and stamp. No color photocopies, as they are not accepted.

This certification is mandatory for your prior experience to count in the competitive exams. If something goes wrong, you could lose points — or even be excluded from the list. So check the papers carefully before going. You already know.
