Starting this week, more than 400 offices—including Immigration, Social Security, and the Post Office—are now open to receive your applications for extraordinary regularization. The goal: to relieve pressure on the system and allow half a million people to get their paperwork in order. So get moving.
In Almería, for example, there have already been lines: it’s estimated that 20,000 migrants may be eligible. Across Andalusia, the total is 60,000. To avoid crowds, the offices have set special hours: from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. So now you know—it’s best to go in the afternoon.
There are three ways to make an appointment. The most convenient: the Regularization portal with Cl@ve—there you can choose the office, day, and time. Without Cl@ve, you can use a web form on the same portal, but you won’t be able to choose either the office or the date. Another option: call 060; they’ll assist you in Spanish. Just be aware that the lines get busy quickly.
And what documents will you need? Here they are—take note:
- The official application form (download it from the portal)
- A copy of your passport or valid travel document
- Documents proving that you were in Spain before January 1, 2026, and that you’ve resided here for at least five months prior to applying
- Criminal background checks from Spain, your country of origin, and any country where you’ve lived in the last five years
Note: All documents must be in your name and dated. Don’t forget.
In addition to government offices, agricultural organizations, NGOs, and administrative service agencies are lending a hand as partner organizations to help you with the paperwork. If you have any questions, make sure to get all the information you need before you go. Hurry up.
