The SAIER of Barcelona starts monthly lectures on the Alien Regulation

SAIER—the Barcelona Service for Immigrants, Emigrants, and Refugees—is launching a series of informational sessions in May on the latest changes to the Immigration Regulations. That’s right: two sessions a month, starting May 20, at its offices at 173 Tarragona Street. So now you know where to go.

Each session lasts between two and two and a half hours—don’t worry, it won’t feel like forever—and the groups are small: a maximum of 50 people. To attend, you need to be registered with SAIER or be receiving assistance from the City Council’s social services. Don’t meet those requirements? Then make an appointment by phone through the Virtual Procedures Office. It’s that simple.

During the sessions, they’ll explain the main pathways to regularization under the new regulations and the key changes affecting procedures you’ve already started. They’ll also answer general questions. Basically, the goal is for foreign residents in Barcelona to understand their rights and the opportunities the reform opens up. So if you’re in that situation, don’t miss it.

So if you’re in the process of getting your papers in order or want to stay ahead of the changes, you should attend. Just make sure you’ve registered or scheduled an appointment; space is limited and fills up fast. Don’t wait.
