If you want to file your taxes in person in Asturias, take note: the window to schedule an appointment opens on May 29. In-person service at the offices runs from June 1 to June 30. However, appointments fill up fast—especially in Oviedo, Gijón, and Avilés—so the tax office recommends that you schedule yours as soon as possible.
There are two ways to book an appointment. First, online—through the Tax Agency’s website or its app—where you’ll need to log in using Cl@ve, a digital certificate, or your electronic ID. Or by phone: the automated system at 91 535 73 26 and 901 12 12 24; for personal assistance, call 91 553 00 71 and 901 22 33 44, Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
If you’re a foreigner, don’t forget to bring your NIE, passport, and bank details. Also bring proof of tax deductions—especially regional ones from Asturias—which aren’t included in the draft. Check them out to see if you qualify for any; it could save you a bit of money. If you don’t need in-person help, file online via Renta WEB and save yourself the trip.
A tip: don’t wait until the last minute. Appointments are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis and fill up fast. If you can’t get a spot at the office closest to you, try another town or call to see if any have been canceled.
