Well, this Thursday, December 18, at 10 a.m., you can book an appointment online for the Alicante Royal Handbag Camp. Here is the link: citaprevia.alicante.es. The camp will be set up in Gabriel Miró Square from December 26 through January 4.
New this year is that the camp will be inclusive—no barriers. There will be pictograms, headphones for people with hearing impairments, and other accommodations. The Councilor for Festivals, Cristina Cutanda, explained it clearly: they wanted everyone to be able to enjoy the lead-up to the arrival of the Three Kings. So now you know.
That said, ticket sales for the January 5 Parade begin on Friday, December 26. You can find them online at vivaticket.es and also at the bullring box office. That same day, at 7:30 p.m., the San Silvestre Charity Run takes place—proceeds go to the Xaloc Powerchair motorized wheelchair soccer team.
If you’re a foreigner living in Alicante, here’s your chance to experience a local tradition and have fun with your family. The camp is free—all you need is an online reservation. But be warned, spots are limited, so don’t wait too long.
