The Government has definitively approved the Royal Decree and it has already been published in the Official State Gazette on April 15, 2026.
Applications: from April 16th to June 30th, 2026
The presentation will be made mainly online through the Mercurio Extranjería platform within the Electronic Headquarters of Public Administrations.
The face-to-face option will also be enabled by appointment from April 20.
Main requirements:
* Have been in Spain before January 1, 2026
* Proof of at least 5 months of stay
• Have no serious criminal record
* To fulfill some condition (work, family roots or situation of vulnerability)
According to official estimates, more than 500,000 people could benefit from this measure, considered one of the largest regularizations in decades.
